Ive been floating around on a purple cloud the last days. Got the first decision from the state administration about Oskar and the decision couldnt be clearer, so basically im hoping that she wont go to city court after all. Even if she does, she basically dont have any arguments to why the existing agreement should be changed.

Thursday i met J in the bus, we talked about our show in april. Hopefully well get an answer from a venue on monday. Talked a bit about kb18: its located in hipstertown and has room for 450 people, so basically we wont be able to put up the small scale shows. Its really sad, Copenhagen really needs a venue where you put up small scale shows on weekdays with  only 30-40 people attending. Went to danish designcenter, glyptoteket and a greek restaurant w/ my students. Watched a documentary called gasland about how Halliburton and some other companies drilled for natural gas. Whiched caused groundwater to be flammable, sickness, environmental damage and what not.

Friday i met A at cafe lyst; talked about my current situation and his recurrent problems going through winter. I sincerely hope that he will be able to control bad habits in the future. Met up w/ M, B and R at kronborggade and we discussed helping each other out w/ tours and shows, seems we got a new show in April, nothing confirmed though. Its really exciting that we got something going with these guys, they have a really good attitude towards culture. Also we discussed releasing some material w/ some american bands which would be fucking awesome. Had a great discussion which also touched on the subject i discussed w/ J last Saturday.

Saturday i went on a 6 hour trip w/ Oskar, should have been to rythmic class, but people acted like egocentric idiots, so we ended up not going because people simply took our spots by pushing themselves first; simply the jungle law at work. Anyway we just went to the playground and enjoyed the first signs of spring. Oskar slept and my parents place and i went to meet up with a few friends at B’s place before Mors releaseparty. Talked about starting a project up in 2012 w/ monthly releases. There was a poet sleeping over for a couple of days, who was writing a book about road crossings. Sounded intriguing, his last book got some well deserved prices. Crazy night at loppen a lot of people showed up and we talked to DHH, who had a great time touring Australia. Only two of their shows were canceled due to the flooding.

Today i went for a walk in the cemetary until Oskar fell a sleep. Went to stefanshus cafe and fell a sleep on their couch. Got asked if RT wanted to be apart of FoEG, we probably will someway or another. Got a mail from C from Portugal, a friend of Adorno, his gonna be staying at my place this summer. He wants to be apart of some of the social centres / projects here in CPH.

The next months are gonna rock!

Great fucking day… Oskar woke up rather early, we ate breakfast, took our duvets and watch cartoons on the fold out couch. After revisiting his toys, we went out for a stroll in the cemetery, with Oskar wearing his leopard suit. It was really windy and a bit rainy, it felt a bit mellow.

After eating our lunchpack, Oskar fell a sleep. I met up w/ m, discussed a few projects, that might start up. One of them sounded really good, it was something about doing a sort of conference for the independent / diy labels in the Nordic countries to share ideas and knowledge. No label should be to small. It would be really beneficial for the whole scene as such. Just the idea of having an informal diy network based on mutual help being communicated out to a broader group of people, doing the same thing, just in different contexts. In general, people should acknowledge that we are not competitors.

Put up Oskars stereo when we got home, so he could dance to his favorite record: Jay Retard - Blood Visions. Played a few boardgames, made dinner, dough for baking bread tomorrow and prepared veggies for soup. Im really tired in a fullfilled way.

Still getting shit from the ex, but who cares anymore. Got the forms send to city hall to get some more money… Went to work. Picked up Oskar, got some posters at Repoman. Made dinner. Baked the bread… Besides getting Oskar back, it was a pretty boring day dealing with the same shit from the ex, just in a new variety. Except for the project starting up in the grey hall in April. Talked about getting some wood installation guys involved, probably not going to happen.

Off day tomorrow w/ Oskar hopefully the weather will turn out good.

Cant sleep…. Finally went through the rules for economic relief for single parents. Apparently its the shit! Nem-id obviously didnt work… gonna see the citizen service office at soon as possible. Even without any economic relief from my ex im pretty well off.

The day turned out pretty good, had a long 3 hour meeting with a student and some of the other projects got a small kick in the right direction. M and B went out w/ posters on Nørrebro. Talked to a few people and apparently there is a few cutnpaste Cd-r releases on its way. Pretty awesome. FoEG is starting up again. Sadly i think its placed in the same weekend as KTDF. Both festivals are pretty darn good. Another yearly festival is starting up in june, with some good people involved. Send out the newsletter about the 2 nights @ stengade. Hopefully this event will pick up some pace within the next few weeks. Its really cool that the independent production companies are collaborating.

I even shopped and made dinner today, which i hardly ever do when i dont have Oskar, got the dishes going and made a dough, so we can bake some bread tomorrow. Hopefully we can start the rythmic class at Osram, at least every other Saturday. My dad left for northen spain to work, so a bottle of good cognac or whiskey will hopefully be on its way :)

The last few days have been crazy. I always feel like im floating around in space, when i dont have Oskar. At least the 5 days are nearly finished and this time around it wasnt so bad, since a lot of projects is starting up and i met up with a lot of great people.

Thursday i met up a friend of mine, who i hadnt seen in half a year, got a new request from a band. Friday i went to work, had a meeting about a movie project, which might be a bit unrealistic but pretty cool if it works out. Went to a costume party for my students. Saturday i went for a 2 hour walk, met up with a bass player from one of the RT bands. We discussed the current musical environment in Denmark, which is really flabbergasting in so many ways. There are so many great projects, bands and what not, but the general press, bigger festivals etc. doesnt seem to be interested / dont know whats going on. Meanwhile a lot of stuff gets attention from outside the borders. It seems like you have to tell a fucking narrative/story before they are interested in the music / projects. Met up with some of the guys from RT at kronborggade, talked to the owner at the bar, who is doing a lot of good projects, booking and what not. We might be able to do some bigger things outdoors this summer. Met up with the bass player and his girlfriend, got vegan hotdogs and did the modern dance, pretty epic. I was completely smashed sunday, went to a costume party at D61, talked to few people about the projects starting up, talked to a band about CC licensing / koda registering.  Went for a 1 hour walk. Today i havent done anything, got a meeting with a student later on and some of the guys from RT are coming by later for posters. Basically im just waiting for Oskar getting home tomorrow.

A lot of projects is starting up, besides putting out records and booking shows. A Zine about the political subject in critical psychology, a CC campaign and a movie project. I dont know if all the projects is going to happen, but well see. A lot of people are doing a lot of work so it shouldnt be a problem. Besides that, there is a student who wants to study?! the MPA / GOA tour and we have to do a lecture about CC in june.

Lades is reopening on Vesterbro, which is really fucking great. Dortheavej 61, Lades and Loppen has always been my favorite venues in Copenhagen.

Blogging

For the last couple of months i have thought about blogging. Not because i want to blog about a specific issue, theme or w/e.

Its a combination of having an outlet for what i am experiencing, wanting to get better at writing, especially in English, and keeping track of what i am doing.

I have been wanting to do a diary for quite some time, though its not really motivating to write anything if you are the only person who is able to read it. In some sort of way, its not real.

If any, there will only be few people who will actually read this blog. That doesnt really matter as long as what i write might be seen by other persons.

Anyway this blog is probably going to consist of self-centered ramblings about what i experience and think about. If you want to catch up with whats happening in Red Tape in general, submit to the newsletter or join the facebook group. The purpose isnt to promote RT or myself for that matter.

Regards
